This Week at Saint Demetrios
Visitors are welcome at the Divine Services; arrive a few minutes early, enter through the narthex, and ask a parishioner or usher if you need guidance. Candles may be offered in prayer before the holy icons, and families with children are warmly welcome.

Dormition Fast & Paraklesis Services
August 1, 2026 — The Dormition Fast begins as the parish prepares for the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Parishioners are invited to participate in prayer, fasting, and Paraklesis services during this sacred season.

August 15, 2026 — The parish will commemorate the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos with the Divine Liturgy. Please contact the parish office for the confirmed service schedule.
Greek School & Church School Registration
September 6, 2026 — Registration opens for Greek School and Church School for the new academic year. Families are encouraged to enroll their children and participate in the educational life of the parish.
Feast of Saint Demetrios
October 26, 2026 — The parish celebrates its patronal feast with Orthros and the Divine Liturgy in honor of Saint Demetrios the Great Martyr, followed by parish fellowship. Full service details should be confirmed by the parish office.

Philoptochos Society
The Ladies Philoptochos Society, meaning friend of the poor, serves the parish and wider community through charitable works and fellowship.
Pontic Society & Cultural Memory
Founded at the parish in 1929 by Pontian Greek refugees, preserving the memory, music, and traditions of Pontus.
Adult Study & Inquirers
Prayer, scripture reading, and discussion for parishioners and those learning about the Orthodox Christian faith.

Opportunities for young people and families to form friendships, serve together, and participate in parish life.
